Working with Twos, Threes, & Four-year-old little learners in our program designed to enhance language skills in both English and Spanish. In this supportive environment, our bilingual program is a wonderful way to introduce children to a second language of Spanish. En este entorno de apoyo, nuestro programa biling--e es una excelente manera de introducir a los ni--os a un segundo idioma, el espa--ol.We are seeking Lead and Assistant Teachers to join our bilingual preschool daycare programs at the following locations:Bells Mill - Tucked into the quiet neighborhood between Bells Mill Elementary and Cabin John Middle SchoolsPotomac Village - Conveniently located minutes from the Beltway in the heart of Potomac Village, right on River Road.-- Las entrevistas se pueden realizar en Espa--ol e Ingles! --This position pays a minimum of $21/hr with the necessary educational credentialsWhat you"ll do:Provide for the educational needs and interests of preschool children using a creative and age-appropriate curriculumSupervision of preschool children to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all studentsSupport the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of each child in the classroomDemonstrate effective leadership among the classroom teamDemonstrate effective communication skills and positive interpersonal relations with children, families, colleagues, and communityClassroom management that fosters a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staffQualifications:The education/certification requirements for these positions for a Lead Teacher in our preschool program must have a minimum of a Bachelor"s Degree or a CDA with the Preschool Endorsement.Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and instructional strategiesStrong knowledge of MSDE regulationsA personal demeanor that is warm, friendly, and cool-temperedProficient technological skills including Microsoft Office is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading skillsExtremely reliable in attendance and punctualityHighly organized and able to prioritize and multi-taskTeam-oriented and willing to work with othersPer Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must submit to and successfully pass a state and federal background check as a contingency of employment.
