Job Description:

At Erickson Senior Living, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to join our Accounting team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of audited financial statements and disclosures for our home office and community entities. Your expertise will also be used to implement policies and internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and strengthen internal controls.Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals to drive high-performance and professional development
• Oversee the preparation of all internal and external monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable regulatory or contractual requirements
• Lead research for technical accounting matters relating to material transactions and contracts
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit and ensure adherence to audit requirements; address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessaryRequirements
  • Minimum of 7 years in accounting and financial reporting with at least the last 5+ years in a management/supervisory role over accounting professionals
  • Current CPA required
  • Experience at an audit/CPA firm a plus
