Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in areas such as Transportation and Logistics, Tax regulations, and Corporate accounting.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
  
• Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  
• Assist in tax preparation and filing processes, including federal, state, and local tax returns.
  
• Collaborate with team members to perform technical accounting tasks and resolve discrepancies.
  
• Provide support for financial report writing, including variance analysis and forecasting.
  
• Utilize accounting software such as McLeod Software for efficient financial management.
  
• Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.Skills
  
  • Strong knowledge of the Transportation industry, and McLeod Software plus
    
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations, payroll reporting and compliance requirements.
    
  • Experience in regulatory reporting and general ledger reconciliation.
    
  • Background in corporate accounting with a focus on Transportation
    
  • Excellent financial report writing skills with attention to detail.
    
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
