employees.Job Summary:Westat is seeking a Senior Network
Analyst-Firewall Engineer to lead the implementation, managing, and
monitoring the firewalls and network security appliances on our
critical networks. You will build highly available solutions,
provide preemptive support through an improved focus on monitoring,
scale the business with flawless connectivity to cloud resources
and remote offices, troubleshoot and provide problem resolutions,
allow users to freedom to connect from anywhere while maintaining
security best practices. This is a full time hybrid position with
1-2 days in our corporate office Job Responsibilities:---
Responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring
of network security capabilities, including but not limited to Web
Application Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Intrusion
Preventions Systems, advanced log analysis, network monitoring,
network flow analysis, packet capture analysis and access control
lists.--- Provide technical leadership on Firewall design,
implementation, management and monitoring.--- Monitor, investigate
and respond to security incidents.--- Provide Tier III support to
technical teams.--- Mentor network engineers to expand skillsets
and career growth.--- Find opportunities to optimize the
functionality, performance, stability and security of existing
networks, continuously assessing systems, processes and procedures
for possible improvements.--- Monitoring and diagnosing performance
issues using on-prem or cloud systems and tools.--- Work alongside
your colleagues in the Information Security team, ensure the
appropriate level of security to safeguard company IP and to meet
audit requirements.Basic Qualifications:--- A Bachelor's degree
with 10 years of IT experience to included 5+ years of experience
as a Firewall Engineer supporting a distributed engineering
enterprise, or equivalent combination of education and
experience.--- Ability to lead a small team.--- Ability to lead
several projects simultaneously from design to
implementation.Preferred Qualifications:--- 5+ years of experience
working on Fortinet Firewalls.--- Experience working with Fortigate
web applications firewalls.Minimum Qualifications:--- Demonstrated
communication skills.--- Collaboration with teams, managers and/or
clients.--- Organization skills, including time management
