Description:
We are seeking a Business Process Reengineering professional (BPR) to bring their systematic approach to improving business processes by analyzing, redesigning, and implementing new processes for our Federal DHS client. Our goal is to achieve dramatic improvements in performance, quality, cost, service, and speed.
You will be involved in:


  • Assessing processes: Identifying weaknesses and gaps in existing processes.
  • Designing new processes: Creating new processes and systems to improve performance.
  • Testing and prototyping: Simulating and testing new designs before implementation.
  • Rethinking the roles of third parties or outsourcing, restructuring departments, redesigning processes, laying off redundant employees, and eliminating unnecessary organizational layers.
  • Making consistent improvements to sound operations.
  • Identifying, enforcing, and adapting when there is a fundamental flaw in the nature of the current operations.

    Qualifications:

    • Work with business users and stakeholders to develop and implement improved business processes.
    • Collect, analyze, and document business rules, processes, and prepare use cases or other types of requirements documentation.
    • Lead business requirements gathering sessions with business and technical resources for complex system development projects.
    • Analyze business documentation to determine necessary IT system or business process changes required to meet the objectives.
    • Prepare and review detailed functional specifications for IT systems development or enhancement projects.
    • Assist with system testing and planning of system changes.
    • Participate in the creation of training materials.

      Requirements:

      • 5 years of experience with developing business and functional requirements and writing use cases in specific industry or company type.
      • 8 years of experience with business process re-engineering (BPR).
      • 8 years of experience in business change management.
      • Experience with waterfall and/or agile software development methodologies.
