Title: Technical Director - Broadcast Operations
CenterSUMMARY:Technical Director assures continuous delivery of
services at our client's Broadcast Operations Center at the
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) located in
Washington, DC. The Broadcast Operations Center delivers news,
information, training, and employee development programs to all HUD
employees nationwide.The Broadcast Operations Center provides
services Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm;
Flexible and compressed work schedules are available. The work
hours may be adjusted by the Program Manager (PPM) based on
Department needs and scheduled events.Compensation Range: $95,000 -

professionalism.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The candidate
will:
- Act as a crew chief, making sure all positions are stationed
and all equipment and facilities checked and ready before event,
recording session, or broadcast begins.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and
contractors, and influence them to take action and accountability
for their assigned work.
- Collaborate with the producer, director, and other crew members
to execute the creative vision of the production.
- Participate in production meetings to understand the technical
requirements of each project.
- Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project
goals.
- Setup, configure, and maintain control room and studio
equipment, including video switchers, audio boards, and graphics
systems.
- Test and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly before
the start of any production.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any technical issues
during a broadcast. Quickly diagnose and resolve technical problems
to minimize disruption to the broadcast.
- Create lower thirds and other on-screen graphics, ensuring they
align with the broadcast's style and content.
- Participate in post-event debriefs to discuss technical
performance and areas for improvement. Provide feedback to the
production team for improving future broadcasts.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on the use of
control room equipment and production processes.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members
and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Work closely with the Engineering team to implement technical
solutions and improvements.
- Work closely with the Program Manager and notify about any
problems encountered and scheduled service outages and
repairs.
- Provide continual evaluations of the state of the Broadcast
Operations Center.
- Prepare recommendations and estimates for equipment and
services needed to bring the operations center to current broadcast
and webcast standards.
- Other duties as assigned.SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:This position

screening and background check.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job

EXPERIENCE:Required:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience producing and directing
multi-camera live to air or live to tape broadcast events.
- Experience producing direct live to air or live to tape
multi-camera broadcast events.
- Thoroughly knowledgeable of broadcast operations and
engineering; knowledgeable of different equipment used in the
production facility, production techniques, and terminology.
- Excellent writing and verbal skills.
- Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving
skills.
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude, patience, flexibility
and a customer-service attitude.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to
communicate effectively with both employees and managers. Ability
to convey a professional and positive image to
customers.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to comprehend and apply basic
mathematics.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to be responsive and
persuasive to all levels of the organization. Good analytical and
