Organization: National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) Position: Director, Membership Reports To: Vice President, Membership & State Engagement Location: Alexandria, VA/Remote-First Are you an innovative association membership leader with experience and proficiency in database management and membership marketing? Come join the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), an organization dedicated to the non-technical concerns of licensed professional engineers. NSPE is seeking a Director of Membership to lead the membership team, driving member value, growth, and engagement strategy. This newly created position is an exciting opportunity to drive change and make a positive impact within the Membership team! NSPE offers:

• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, teamwork, unity, & fellowship As the Director of Membership, you will play a crucial role in promoting the value of NSPE membership, which includes access to professional development resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy for the engineering profession. You will oversee a team responsible for member service, awards and recognition programs, and online communities, while also serving as a key liaison to NSPE Membership. You will work extensively with the membership database and on membership marketing. This position reports to the Vice President of Membership & State Engagement and manages the Customer/Member Service team. Qualified candidates offer:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • 10 years of experience in membership management with a proven track record of success in growing and engaging a membership base
  • Previous association experience
  • Strong understanding of membership recruitment, retention, and engagement best practices
  • Expertise in developing and implementing data-driven membership strategies
