Northwest Compensation: $300,000 annually Hiring Bonus: $30,000

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic seeks a dynamic and experienced
Vice President of Dental Care to join our team. This unique role
allows you to split your time equally between clinical practice and
administrative leadership, ensuring the highest standards of dental

health, and our families: Key Responsibilities: Purpose of
Position:
- Deliver primary dental services with high standards of quality
and efficiency.
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for dental clinics,
residency programs, and support teams.
- Offer strategic direction and decision-making to align with the
organization's mission, values, and goals.
- Stay current with regulatory standards, identify opportunities,
and develop strategies to enhance care quality.
- Integrate dental health with overall health and well-being
initiatives to support whole person care.
- Administrative/Leadership (0.5 FTE):
- Oversee dental operations, mentor and support dental staff, and
contribute to strategic planning and policy development.
Administrative Detail:
- Supervise, mentor, and train staff, manage performance, and
conduct evaluations, including setting goals, addressing
performance issues, and participating in disciplinary actions.
- Support staff development, recruitment, and orientation while
fostering an inclusive and engaging work environment.
- Develop dental care plans, coordinate with other departments,
ensure regulatory compliance, and provide leadership to achieve
strategic goals.
- Oversee budget, quality assurance, and promote cultural
competence.
- Act as a liaison within the organization and community, support
dental education and public health programs, and prepare for and
participate in state, federal, and Joint Commission (TJC)
audits.
- Actively participate in the community, establish and maintain
productive relationships with community partners, and represent the
organization on outside boards, committees, managed care
organizations, forums, and meetings, making decisions on behalf of
the Chief Health Officer (CHO) and the organization.
- Travel is required to fulfill corporate needs and attend
necessary meetings to represent the corporation and/or Dental
Department.
- Clinical (0.5 FTE):
- Provide high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring
adherence to best practices and clinical guidelines. Clinical
Detail:
- Provide general dental care to clinic patients, performing all
phases of direct dental care, including extractions, restorations,
and prosthetics.
- Conduct patient examinations to assess oral health, capturing
detailed exam information, and formulating treatment plans based on
patients' financial situations and physical needs.
- Diagnose and treat pathological conditions, prescribe
medications, and maintain accurate Electronic Dental Record (EDR)
documentation.
- Work on community oral health and clinic projects as assigned
by the Chief Dental Officer (CDO), ensuring quality control
techniques are utilized, and assist in the evaluation of Dental
Providers, Dental Assistants, and support staff.
- Serve as Northwest Dental Residency faculty, mentoring
residents in Washington clinics, and as "Affiliate in Practice"
faculty, mentoring dental students during their rotations.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
- Valid dental license in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in both clinical dentistry and leadership
roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
