(temporary/trainee) (5/9) - Georgetown University Medical CenterJob
OverviewThe Research Technician - in a temporary/trainee position -
will participate in a mentoring and research training program
through an NIH/NIA-funded training grant to encourage underserved
undergraduates to go on to careers in Aging Biology research.
Placements for research experiences will be at GUMC, the GU
Department of Biology, and the School of Health.An active mentoring
program will be initiated and students will engage with near peer
mentors as well as other relevant training faculty.As well, they
will receive lab bench training, basic statistics and data
analysis.One of nine opportunities, this position is for
underserved undergraduates HBCUs.Work Interactions and Work Mode
DesignationReporting directly to the assigned lab director and gran
faculty, the Research Technician will be a part of a research and
team that addresses the biology of aging. This individual will
report directly to the assigned lab director and grant faculty.As
well, they will communicate and work with other investigators, a
project manager, and research assistants.This position has been
designated as On-Campus. Please note that work mode designations
