Job Description:
Lead a team as Head Chef at Copper Kettle Restaurant, overseeing
menu development, staff management, and kitchen operations. Key
responsibilities include hiring and training staff, planning menus,
establishing pricing, and maintaining sanitation and safety
standards.
- Hiring and Management: Supervise and evaluate staff, hire new
employees, and provide training and development opportunities.
- Menu Development: Create menus for the restaurant and special
events, while maintaining cost control and quality standards.
- Operations: Schedule staff, coordinate kitchen work, and
approve product requisitions.
- Inventory and Financials: Complete inventory reports, prepare
financial spreadsheets, and provide data for budget planning.
- Quality and Safety: Maintain high standards of sanitation and
safety, and minimize product waste and theft.
- Communication: Interact with staff, outlet managers, and guests
to ensure excellent food service.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve problems and complaints in a fair and
timely manner.
- Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and
development opportunities for kitchen staff.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum 3 years of chef experience.
- Prior menu development experience.
- Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and handle high
volumes.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 depending on experience.
