Job Description:
Join our team as a Pastry Sous at Ellie Bird, a modern American
restaurant in Falls Church, VA.
We're a chef-owned restaurant with a focus on exceptional cuisine
in an approachable atmosphere. We've been featured in the New York
Times as one of the top 50 best new restaurants in the country, and
our sister restaurant was awarded a Michelin Star in 2021 and
2022.
We're looking for someone to join our team for a Pastry Sous
position. Responsibilities include producing pastry items,
assisting the Executive Pastry Chef, and helping with dinner
services. We require a strong understanding of classic cooking and
pastry techniques, as well as basic knowledge of kitchen equipment
and safety procedures.
Preferred qualifications include at least 1 year of managerial
experience in a professional kitchen and the ability to stand for
long periods. We're looking for someone who is a team player, has a
drive to learn, and is flexible with schedules. If you think you'd
