Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Prepared Foods team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Develop Team Members: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Assist Team Leader: Work with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and assist in analyzing sales, reports, and labor.
• Develop and Maintain Store Layout: Create and maintain a creative store layout and product merchandising that drives sales and customer satisfaction.
• Vendor Relationships: Establish and maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor relations, and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing.
• Point of Contact: Function as the primary point of contact and departmental person in charge in the absence of the Team Leader.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, respond promptly to customer needs and questions, and maintain awareness of customer flows and needs.Requirements
• Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
• Skills: High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy. Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills. Capable of teaching others in a positive and constructive manner. Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
