Job Description:

Support the Team Leader in daily operations, including profitability, expense control, and regulatory compliance. Lead and develop Team Members. Provide courteous service to customers and Team Members. Maintain a positive company image and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures. Perform duties inherent in other Team Member job descriptions and support WFM core values and goals.

• Develop and maintain store layout and product merchandising.
• Work with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assist Team Leader in analyzing sales, reports, and labor.
• Demonstrate advanced product knowledge and awareness of new products.
• Maintain good vendor relationships and ensure proper paperwork submission.
• Work with Team Leader to resolve team concerns and issues.
• Function as point person in absence of Team Leader.
• Set and achieve high standards of retail execution.
• Foster a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
• Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs and direct Team Members accordingly.
• Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members.
• Provide timely performance evaluations.
• Communicate and model WFM vision and goals.

    • 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
      • Lift 50 pounds.
      • Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
      • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
      • Work requires bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
      • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
      • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
      • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
      • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
