Job Description:

Assists Team Leader in daily operations including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, and regulatory compliance. Leads and develops Team Members, ensuring positive company image by providing courteous and efficient service. Performs duties in accordance with team and store Standard Operating Procedures.

• Job Responsibilities
• Develops and maintains store layout and product merchandising.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assists Team Leader in sales, reports, and labor analysis.
• Displays advanced product knowledge and maintains awareness of new products.
• Maintains good vendor relationships and ensures proper paperwork submission.
• Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns and issues.
• Functions as point person and departmental person in charge in absence of Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves retail execution standards.
• Fosters a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
• Maintains customer awareness and directs Team Members to satisfy and delight customers.
• Selects, trains, develops, and mentors Team Members in a high-performance team.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.

    • Experience
    • 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
      • Physical Requirements
      • Lifts up to 50 pounds.
      • Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
      • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
      • Work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
      • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
      • Exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
      • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
      • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
      • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, and heavy machinery.
      • May require use of ladders.
