Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Meat Department Team Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.Key Responsibilities

• Leading and Developing Team Members: You will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team to drive sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Operational Excellence: You will assist the Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports, and labor, and work to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Inventory Management: You will assist the Team Leader with ordering and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
• Customer Satisfaction: You will maintain awareness of customer flows and needs and direct Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
• Team Development: You will select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to foster a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy.
