Job Description:

BreakPoint Labs is seeking a Software Developer to support the development, maintenance and operation of a mission critical application. The technology stack includes a containerized Ruby on Rails application supported by a PostgresQL database that runs within an AWS environment. A DevSecOps software development methodology is employed to provide real time updates to the production environment. This is a REMOTE position, however, Candidate must live within the National Capital Region. Responsibilities include:
- Utilize GitLab for DevSecOps (CI/CD) pipeline, branching, merging, and code reviews- Design and test code features in Ruby
- Troubleshoot and debug issues within the development and production environments (Linux-based)
- Manage the orchestration of technology stack through the use of Docker/docker compose Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a software developer- Experience with Docker/containers and docker compose - Solid understanding of Linux operating system fundamentals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork is a must Certifications Required: Security+ Continuing Education (CE) [CompTIA]
