We are seeking Back End Software Engineers who are passionate about customer enablement and unlocking emerging technologies . As a Capital One Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One. Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) comprises many of Capital One's most important enterprise platforms. We play an essential role in establishing practices for building technology solutions across the company, while also delivering capabilities that exemplify those practices. What You'll Do:--

• Act as a technical lead for a diverse set of projects creating solutions based in microservices and reusable APIs to create a seamless customer experience and to enable our engineers to better leverage cloud platforms and deliver customer value
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community and be asked to code or evaluate code
• Collaborate with product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
• Utilize prevalent open source languages and coding techniques to create data-centric applications capable of empowering engineers to focus on their code and not end customer implementations Basic Qualifications:--
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
  • At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) Preferred Qualifications:
    • 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Python, Go, or Node.js
    • 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service implementing layered fine and coarse grained network controls
    • 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
    • Professional certification for AWS Solutions Architect
    • Specialty certification for AWS Advanced Networking
