Job Description:

Duties As a Program Support Assistant (OA) at the GS-0303-7 some of your typical work assignments may include: * Administers programs and serves as the primary source of information for DSCU On-boarding, Government Purchase Card (GPC) program, Records Manager, DSCU Scheduler and Defense Travel System (DTS) administrator. * Serves as the point of contact for all newly assigned personnel; orients them regarding the basic functions of the organization, introduces them to key personnel and schedules their initial training/orientation requirements. * Responsible for assisting DSCU personnel with absence and premium time requests, submitting timecards, and maintaining timekeeping hierarchy. * Assists with the planning, administering, and monitoring of manpower resource requirements, maintenance of manpower manning documents. * Provides guidance to supervisors relating to military and civilian manpower requirements, organizational structure, authorization, and utilization of positions. * Stays abreast of current personnel issues and provides explanations of personnel-related requirements, regulations, and procedures to supervisors and managers. * Directly assists the DSCU President, Deans and Associate Deans in the management of all administrative support program functions. * Identifies and implements administrative processes which can be improved or made more efficient through application of automated technology or other methods. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service: * Assisting with office administration and business operations; * Assisting employees with timekeeping, travel, or administrative requirements; * Drafting correspondence and reports using correct grammar and punctuation; * Using office automation software to edit and format documents and/or update databases or spreadsheets. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level. Additional information 1. A qualified typist is required. 2. Incumbent must attain DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification and complete related continuous learning requirements in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2017, Title 10 United States Code, Section 384, and Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program 2.0 requirements. Incumbent must complete DoD SCW Basic-level certification courses within one year. Requirements for Proficiency Level 1 - At least 1 year of successful SC work experience with a performance appraisal rating of 3 or better. Incumbent must complete DoD SCW Foundational level certification requirements within one year of entering the SC position. In addition, 40 hours of continuing education (CUE) every two years.
