Position Overview: Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit working to promote plant-based diets and ethical research is seeking a program coordinator with a bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of relevant work experience to help coordinate the Food for Life (FFL) nutrition and cooking class program. The program coordinator will foster successful engagement with FFL instructors and institutions, coordinate program operations, and ensure that participants experience the greatest impact from the classes.

      About the Role
      Position Title/Job Function: Food for Life Program Coordinator
      Position Objective: Promote plant-based diets through strategic programs, foremost being the Food for Life (FFL) nutrition and cooking class program. The coordinator will work in partnership with the team to foster successful FFL instructor and institution engagement, support, and retention throughout their cycle of involvement with PCRM.
      Essential Functions:

      • Form a comprehensive understanding of FFL's goals, courses, resources, services, and stakeholders.
      • Work with the team to create and continually refine FFL's features and benefits for FFL instructors and institutions (affiliates) and course participants.
      • Provide oversight and management of the FFL affiliate cycle, including training and onboarding, programmatic and administrative support, and retention.
      • Develop and implement strategies to cultivate the growth, enhanced involvement, and retention of FFL affiliates.
      • Identify and analyze FFL affiliate trends and oversee the effective use of software and operating systems to manage FFL affiliate data and processes.
      • Uphold the highest service standards possible in responding to all communications.
      • Work with the Director of Community Education to enhance and grow the FFL program.
      • Assist in developing and implementing unique course curricula to extend the program reach.
      • Review and update existing course curricula and program manuals.
      • Manage the timely delivery of affiliate renewal invoices, affiliate notices, and other retention communications.

        Work Location: This position may be performed remotely from any location in the United States.
        Required Travel: The Food for Life Program Coordinator will be required to travel yearly to our International Conference on Nutrition in Medicine (ICNM) in Washington, D.C.
        Work Schedule: This is a full-time exempt position (40+ hours per week). The Physicians Committee's core business hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, ET.
        Salary: A salary offer will take into consideration education, experience, and skills along with internal and external reference points.

        • Minimum Salary: $75,000
        • Maximum Salary: $85,000

          Reports To:

          • Supervisor: Director of Community Education
          • Department Director: Managing Director of Nutrition

            Qualifications
            All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
            Education:

            • Required: Bachelor's degree

              Work Experience:

              • Required: A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in program management

                • Required:

                  • Adherence to a plant-based diet
                  • Online event planning experience
                  • Membership management experience
                  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
                  • Creative thinker focused on details
                  • Ability to initiate, manage, and complete multiple projects independently

                    • Experience with PCRM's FFL program
