Job Description:

Assists with scheduling and supervision of Team Members, day-to-day department flow, and Prepared Foods displays. Supports Team Leader and Associate Team Leader for smooth Prepared Foods operation.All Whole Foods Market Retail jobs require courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members. Team Members must be prepared to perform other Team Member job duties. All positions must support WFM core values and goals, promote national and store programs, and adhere to health and safety regulations.

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
• Trains Team Members with Prepared Foods Trainer to build a high-performance team.
• Assists in training new Team Members, utilizing learning checklists.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean and well-stocked.
• Opens and closes department according to procedures.
• Ensures all necessary breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves retail execution standards.
• Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and mutual respect.
• Selects, trains, and develops Team Members to sustain a high-performance team.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
  • Knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
  • Product knowledge and regulatory policies.
  • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance.
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operations-related applications.Requires 12+ months retail experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, standing/walking 6-8 hours, and working a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
