Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Produce Order Writer to join our team at Whole Foods Market. • Purchasing and Replenishment: You will be responsible for purchasing and replenishing produce through proper buying procedures, ensuring that our shelves are always stocked with the freshest products.
• Inventory Management: You will monitor and act upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner, controlling spoilage and shrink, and achieving turn goals.
• Customer Service: You will provide excellent customer service, addressing the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and modeling suggestive selling techniques.
• Merchandising: You will maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for stocking and merchandising products, ensuring that our store is always visually appealing and easy to navigate.Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 12+ months retail experience, with a strong background in produce and a passion for natural foods.
  • Skills: Extensive produce product knowledge, including production, distribution, seasonal availability, advances, and trends, as well as strong basic math skills and the ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.Why Join Our Team?
