BIO-CAT, located in central Virginia, is a growing biotech company and Research facility providing the latest enzyme technology and custom formulations to our customers that include industrial, food, and agriculture markets. We are currently hiring for an IT Support Specialist.The primary duty of this role will be to work with the IT Manager to provide support to staff for all aspects of information technology and cybersecurity, to include new and existing programs, platforms, equipment etc. Duties include, but not limited to, serving as on-call weekend IT back up as applicable, assisting in determining and implementing future projects, software and hardware upgrades to meet organizational needs, and troubleshooting daily technical issues. Other support duties as applicable.Qualifications include Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of study with 3-5 years of related experience. Ideal candidate will have extensive systems knowledge and experience with Active Directory, VOIP phone systems & networking; experience in cybersecurity and ability to communicate effectively.
