The Senior Officer cultivates and manages member services, ensuring support and opportunities for collaboration in the North America and Latin America regions.This is a full-time, grant-funded position through December 31, 2026. This is a hybrid position based in Washington, DC requiring at least one day per week in the office. Remote candidates will not be considered.Required Experience and Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• At least 5 years of professional experience, including significant experience in event management.
• Demonstrated experience with project management.
• Experience in a similar membership-based organization is preferred.
• Experience working in a non-profit organization or international development sector is preferred.
• Experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) software and databases is preferred.Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for GISF members, responding promptly to inquiries.
  • Guide potential new members through the application process.
  • Lead the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events, including a North America flagship event every two years.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of members.
  • Capture data from events for use in member engagement and knowledge sharing.
  • Support GISF engagement with the commercial sector and conduct outreach to develop strategic partnerships for the benefit of members.
  • Actively contribute to GISF initiatives.
  • Maintain a willingness to learn and develop knowledge about the NGO security risk management area.
  • Remain alert and responsive to any safeguarding risks.
