Job Description:
Consultants - Business Development The Georgetown University
Center for Global Health Practice and Impact (CGHPI) serves
countries to improve their population health and well-being and to
safeguard against health-related threats by advancing the use of
evidence and human-centered enterprise architecture on the path
towards achieving equity and social justice. To achieve this
mission, we catalyze the uptake, spread, and implementation of
innovations; triangulate data from different sources, and tailor
visualization of the information for each audience; design and
implement integrated service delivery models; support communities
of practice to inform policy and practice through efficient data
use and horizontal and vertical collaboration; disseminate best
practices and evidence globally through open source learning
networks; build global, collaborative, multi-disciplinary, and
interprofessional networks; undertake research that is informed by
local needs; and invest in local leadership to own, provide
oversight, and sustain implemented interventions. CGHPI anticipates
the release of a variety of upcoming proposal opportunities in the
global health space (maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent
health, malaria, TB, HIV/AIDS, family planning, monitoring and
evaluation, and health systems strengthening). In preparation for
anticipated business development, CGHPI has identified the need to
increase its resources for market research, capture (including
travel), technical writing, and technical and budget leadership of
proposals. CGHPI seeks the services of a consultant, group of
consultants, or firm to support these needs. The exact scope will
be determined for each proposal. Types of roles we are looking for
support, but limited to, include: Capture Manager Lead Technical
Writer Proposal Leader Proposal Manager Budget Lead Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and at least seven (7) years of relevant
experience; Master's degree preferred. Familiarity with various
donors and funders: CDC, NIH, USAID, and foundations. Expertise in
maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health, malaria, TB,
HIV/AIDS, family planning, monitoring and evaluation, and health
systems strengthening. Ability to gain rapid familiarity with the
operating environment for various potential bids. Demonstrated
experience working on new business development, utilizing diverse,
proactive strategies to identify win themes, competitively position
an organization for new funding and develop productive
institutional relationships. Interested parties may email their
