Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lead Fire Safety Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring fire safety equipment is properly installed, maintained, and functioning according to local regulations and industry standards. This role requires knowledge of fire safety protocols and the ability to perform inspections, tests, and repairs on various fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, fire sprinklers, extinguishers, and other fire protection equipment.
Perform testing and troubleshooting to identify issues and repair or replace faulty components.
Ensure compliance with fire safety codes and regulations, keeping up-to-date with any changes in local and federal fire safety laws.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, maintenance, and repair work.
Respond to emergency situations, providing on-site support and evaluating potential fire hazards.
Collaborate with building managers and safety personnel to implement effective fire safety strategies.
Educate clients and employees on fire safety best practices and conduct training when required.
Assist in the development of fire safety plans and participate in regular fire drills.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in fire safety technology preferred.
Relevant certifications such as NICET, Fire Safety Inspector, or other recognized credentials are a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in fire safety inspection and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.
Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, OSHA).
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client locations as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and confined spaces.
Capacity to climb ladders and work at heights.
